she was always there for me, patient and understanding, the most pleasant person i've ever known. though she was not above mischief! i painted this the year before she died. she was looking out the window in the bedroom i had as a little girl. i remember she was listening to children playing outside.

i took the photo of this portrait before the painting was finished. wish i'd gotten a later photo, but i'm fond of this painting as i felt it captured Campbell's spirit. she's a sweet little girl, very feminine and a little bit shy.
